They come in many colors, shapes and sizes, but my heart belongs to the so-called “dinner plate” dahlias, especially those that bloom in all the warm and vibrant colors of a sunset. Each huge bloom on dahlia varieties like ‘Labyrinth' and 'Belle of Barmera' contains a slightly different combination of peaches and pinks and hints of lavender. The Cigar style has rounded ends and continues almost the same size throughout the body of the pen.
